The principle of operation is colorimetry. The color space visible to the naked eye is usually composed ofthree kinds of colors, called the "three primary colors" differentcolors of light are made by mixing 3 kinds of light - red, green andblue in different proportions. Color light equal amounts of red +blue = magenta, blue + green = cyan, green + red = yellow, equalamounts of the three primary colors add up to a certain intensity iswhite. lf the intensity is zero is black.
